LA VIE PARISIENNE: Bal Masqué de la St-Valentin 2014
8PM at The DTA, 60 Pine St, NY NY 10005
THIS VALENTINE’S DAY, Dances of Vice transforms New York’s first private Victorian clubhouse into a 1930s Parisian cabaret hall for a dazzling period costumed masquerade at LA VIE PARISIENNE: Saint Valentine's Masquerade Ball 2014. Before the ball, enjoy a special Valentine’s Day dinner featuring ingredients known for their aphrodisiac properties in the club's elegant dining hall. Masks are mandatory between 8-10pm in all non-dining hall areas. Reveals at 10pm.
CARTE BLANCHE (Elan Artists) and POOQUETTE set the mood for a perfect evening in the City of Love with a romantic repertoire of French and American popular jazz from the 1920-40s, as well as classic Latin jazz, bossa nova, tango and swing melodies.
The sensual sophisticates of COMPANY XIV (Nutcracker Rouge, Bond Street Theater), and THE PAINTED LADIES PROJECT (Floating Kabarett) present a multitude of attractions to beguile our guests, while the winking beauties of THE DOLL EYES promenade through the dance floor in a vintage lingerie fashion show.
Single guests are invited to wear a pink rose to disclose their romantic status and participate in a variety of titillating matchmaking games throughout the evening. Romantic and risqué parlor games also lie in store for singles and couples alike, hosted by matchmaker AMY VAN DORAN.
