Rúna is a Gothic word meaning secret, mystery, whisper. It had a second meaning, too: a confidante - the person you trust with what can't be said aloud. That's the premise of this new theater of seduction presented by House of LouLou’s and Dances of Vice.
On September 19th, we invite you beyond the threshold of RUNA, gathering fashion, performance, music, and sensuality into one immersive composition.
A living gallery of the erotic imagination. Aerialists suspended overhead. Rope artistry performed as devotion. Wearable art, immersive visuals, and installations transform the raw architecture into a world of discovery. Throughout the space, custom restraint furniture and appliances of desire await those who wish to move from witnessing to experience. Across multiple environments, the line between watcher and watched begins to dissolve, while DJs conduct the temple's pulse until late becomes early.
The circle is kept. Beyond the visible world, certain chambers remain private. Photography is forbidden; no image leaves the temple without the blessing of those within it. A secret shared correctly binds people together. What unfolds between consenting bodies is entrusted to the night, and no one else.
Dress code is strict. Latex, leather, fetish couture, avant-garde formal, lingerie. Dress as someone worth keeping secret. Those not dressed appropriately will be returned to the ordinary world. Please see our mood board for inspiration.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
RUNA is built on a single idea: a secret only has power when it is given consensually. Everything that happens within our walls follows from this.
Please observe the following:
1. Everything is asked for. Nothing is assumed. Affirmative consent governs every touch, every scene, every invitation — ask before you touch anyone, and delight in being asked. A yes at RUNA is a gift. A no is a complete sentence, received gracefully and never argued with. If someone declines, do not ask again.
2. The asking is the seduction. To ask for consent beautifully - with patience, wit, and genuine attention - is the most elegant thing you can do. Proposition freely; read the room, read the eyes, and treat every guest as a confidante, never a conquest. Serial or aggressive pursuit has no place here.
3. A scene is a spell. Do not break it. When guests are engaged in play or performance, keep a respectful distance — no interrupting, crowding, commenting, or reaching in — unless the participants have invited you closer.
4. The old words hold. "Yellow" means gentler, slower, something different — check in verbally with new partners when you hear it. "Red" means all play stops, immediately, followed by care. These words are recognized everywhere in the house, by everyone, without exception.
5. Know your body. Speak it plainly. Before you play, share your experience, your limits, and any risks that travel with you.
6. The Keepers walk among you. Our monitors — the Keepers of the house — move through every room and are marked so you can find them. They exist so that any guest, at any moment, can be heard. If something feels wrong, tell a Keeper. You will be believed, and it will be handled.
7. Every body is sacred here. RUNA has no tolerance for racism, misogyny, transphobia, misgendering, ableism, body-shaming, or kink-shaming. Ask for pronouns when you don't know them.
8. Arrive in your body. No open drug use. If you drink, remain the author of your own evening — intoxication and meaningful consent cannot occupy the same body. Guests who cannot hold this balance will be gently, firmly returned to the ordinary world.
9. The circle keeps its secrets. No photography, no exceptions — your phone stays sheathed. Who you saw and what you witnessed stays inside the walls. Discretion is not a courtesy at RUNA; it is the price of admission and the source of everything the night makes possible.
Violations are met with anything from a quiet word to immediate removal and permanent exile from all future gatherings, at the sole discretion of the house. Guests are responsible for those they bring.
This is a play event in the full sense. Within the Whispered Law, consenting adults are free to explore one another as deeply as they are invited to.
